Yesterday, Antonio Conte put his Tottenham players to the test in South Korea, as they underwent a brutal session.

What’s the story?

Well, the Italian is known for his tough methods, and they were there for all to see in Seoul as the Spurs squad were forced to perform full pitch runs, even after a two-hour training session.

According to Football London’s Alasdair Gold, some players, including Harry Kane and Heung-min Son, even collapsed to the ground before rejoining the group after a brief break.

Eventually, in what seemed to be a kind of bleep test style drill, Kane, Son, Yves Bissouma and Japhet Tanganga all withdrew, but there was one surprise name who led the pack going into the final run – Troy Parrott.

The 20-year-old hasn’t played for Tottenham since appearing in the FA Cup defeat to Norwich back in March 2020.

Since that loss, Parrott has spent time on loan with Millwall, Ipswich and MK Dons, where he has clearly been keeping himself in fine condition.

You can see what Gold tweeted about the Republic of Ireland international below.

Parrott impressed last season with ten goals and seven assists in 47 appearances for MK Dons.

If that wasn’t enough to catch Conte’s eye, we’re sure his efforts in Seoul will have made the Italian notice him.

Tottenham must find Troy Parrott a testing loan move

In our view, it wouldn’t be wise to keep Parrott in N17 next season when the likes of Kane, Son and Richarlison are already at the club.

We’re not even sure where the Brazil international will play after his £60m move from Everton, so we can’t see the 20-year-old Spurs prodigy getting much game time.

Therefore, we think Tottenham need to find him a testing loan move to a top Championship side, following his impressive exploits in League One last term.

If Parrott can prove himself at that level, then we see no reason why he can’t shine for Spurs in the 2023/24 campaign.
