Premier League rivals Spurs and Liverpool are reportedly keen to sign Fiorentina’s Serie A wonderkid and Italy U21 star Federico Chiesa.

New Fiorentina owner Rocco Commisso has admitted to Corriere dello Sport that he has no plans to cash in on Federico Chiesa this summer as Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur continue to be linked with the jet-heeled winger.
The son of former Italy great Enrico, Chiesa Jr is emerging as a star in his own right in the famous violet shirt of Fiorentina.
After emerging through La Viola’s academy, the speedy forward continues to go from strength to strength while attracting interest from clubs all over Europe – particularly in the Premier League.
Tuttomercatoweb believe that Cheisa is a prime target for Champions of Europe Liverpool while Tottenham are also keen on the £70 million-rated attacker, according to The Sun. Spurs have an advantage too with Chiesa keen to live in London.
But with Commisso looking to end Fiorentina’s selling club mentality and drag them back to the big time, keeping the 21-year-old is one of his first big ambitions.
“I am confident we can keep him at the club and make him become a club icon. He is a symbol for this team,” he said.

Commisso’s task might have become that little bit harder, however, with Chiesa starring for Italy at the U21 European Championships on home soil.
Italy might have been knocked out early but Chiesa was arguably the stand-out player of the entire group stage, scoring three goals including a double against Spain.
Blazing down the left wing with power and pace, leaving full-backs choking on his dust, no one is questioning the comparisons with Tottenham legend Gareth Bale anymore.
