London World journalist Rahman Osman has reported on Twitter that Arsenal defensive midfielder Thomas Partey is injured on international duty with Ghana.
Osman has said that he is hearing that Arsenal star Partey pulled out of Ghana’s match against Brazil this evening due to an injury.
The £45 million star (Football.London) was named in the Ghana starting lineup, but he felt something during warm-up and decided not to play.
The 29-year-old midfielder has had injury problems this season and has been able to make only four appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal so far this season.
Partey started for Arsenal in the London derby against Brentford last weekend and played for 78 minutes.
Arsenal will taken Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium in the North London derby after the international break.
Partey is a massive player for the Gunners, who will hope that he recovers in time for the Premier League game.
Arsenal star Thomas Partey reportedly injured on Ghana duty
Partey has done well for Arsenal when he has played, but the problem for him has been injury and fitness.
We know that for any player, it is not easy to play well when he gets injured, especially if it stops him from getting a run of games.
The Ghanaian is a very good and combative midfielder who imposes himself in the middle of the park and can also drive the team forward.
Arsenal will hope that Partey’s reported injury on international duty with Ghana is not serious.
