TalkSPORT journalist Alex Crook has reported that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are on the verge of signing Moises Caicedo from Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion.
Crook has claimed on Twitter that Liverpool have agreed to pay Brighton and Hove Albion £111 million in transfer fees for Moises Caicedo.
The 21-year-old Ecuador international midfielder will undergo a medical with Liverpool today before completing his move to the Merseyside club in the summer transfer window.
Caicedo has made 45 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
The midfielder has scored two goals and given two assists in those games.
Liverpool are overpaying for Brighton and Hove Albion star Moises Caicedo
We believe that Liverpool are paying much too much money for Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo in the summer transfer window.
Perhaps interest from Chelsea in the youngster has driven up the price of Caicedo, who, according to former Liverpool star John Barnes, is a “fantastic” player.
While Caicedo is a very good midfielder, we think that he is overpriced at £111 million.

After all, the midfielder has had just one good season in the Premier League.
And he is only 21.
In our view, Liverpool are paying too much money for Caicedo if they are going to cough up £111 for him this summer.
Jude Bellingham is one of the best young midfielders in the world, and he cost Real Madrid an initial £88.5 million (Sky Sports).
Bellingham has starred for Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga and in the UEFA Champions League and is also a regular for England.
You have to question why anyone would think that Caicedo is worth more than Bellingham, who is now playing for arguably the biggest club in the world.
