Moises Caicedo will reportedly try to convince Brighton and Hove Albion to sell him to Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea.
The Times has reported that Chelsea want to sign Moises Caicedo from Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.
The report has claimed that Chelsea’s latest offer of £80 million for Caicedo has been turned down.
Brighton want as much as £100 million for the 21-year-old Ecuador international midfielder, who, according to former Liverpool star John Barnes, is a “fantastic” player.
The Times has claimed that “Caicedo and his representatives will seek further talks with Brighton” to “try to persuade the club to bring their asking price down from £100 million”.
Caicedo is reportedly keen on a move to Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
Chelsea have to pay £100m to Brighton and Hove Albion for Moises Caicedo
In our opinion, Chelsea will have to pay £100 million to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.
It is as simple as that.

If Brighton have rejected an offer of £80 million for a 21-year-old who has had just one good season in the Premier League, then it shows that they mean business.
The Seagulls are a well-run club who are financially stable, and they are not desperate for money.
So, Chelsea will have to cough up the £100 million transfer fee that Brighton are looking for.
Of course, Caicedo’s wish to join Chelsea will matter in negotiations, but he has a contract with Brighton and will have to stay at the club if the Seagulls do not sell him.
Caicedo made 34 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Brighton last season.
The 21-year-old scored one goal and gave one assist in those games.
