Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo is reportedly pushing for a move to Chelsea, with head coach Mauricio Pochettino waiting for him.
Rudy Galetti has reported on Twitter that Chelsea want to sign Moises Caicedo from Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.
The Italian journalist has claimed that Chelsea are ready to make a new offer of €100 million (£86 million) for Caicedo, who, according to former Liverpool star John Barnes, is a “fantastic” player.
BBC Sport reported this week that Brighton have turned down the Blues’ latest bid of £80 million for the Ecuador international midfielder.
Brighton are reportedly looking for as much as £100 million for the 21-year-old defensive midfielder.
Chelsea need to increase offer for Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo
In our opinion, Chelsea have to pay the £100 million transfer fee that Brighton and Hove Albion want for Moises Caicedo.
A new bid worth £86 million is not going to convince Brighton.

After all, the Seagulls have just rejected Chelsea’s latest offer of £80 million for the midfielder.
There is no way that Brighton will accept £86 million for Caicedo.
If Chelsea are determined to sign Caicedo, then they simply have to cough up the £100 million transfer fee that Brighton want.
Pre-season training is in full swing now, and the new Premier League campaign will get underway next month.
Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino needs to work with Caicedo before the season starts.
Caicedo made 34 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Brighton last season.
The 21-year-old scored one goal and gave one assist in those games.
We believe that Chelsea would be a better team with Caicedo in it.
