Yves Bissouma has been speaking about Daniel Levy‘s decision to bring Yaya Toure to Tottenham.
The Spurs chairman recently gave the Ivorian his first coaching job in English football, hiring him to take charge of the Under-16 side in north London.
Toure brings a wealth of experience to Hotspur Way, having made 230 appearances in England’s top-flight, while also winning the Premier League title on three occasions.
The 39-year-old also speaks to the first-team players at Tottenham, with Bissouma clearly loving life alongside his “idol” in N17.
Bissouma pleased to have Toure at Tottenham
Speaking to Sky Sports, the £25m Tottenham man said: “It’s fantastic to have him here. I never, ever thought I was gonna sit near to him, and talk about football, life. He’s my idol, I really like him.”
Clearly, Bissouma is over the moon with Levy’s decision to hire Toure.
The Ivorian should be a huge bonus to have around the place, especially for the Under-16 side, who are now lucky enough to work with and learn from one of the best midfielders in recent times.
Toure can help Bissouma at Tottenham
Aside from his responsibilities with the Under-16 side at Tottenham, Toure could also help Bissouma kick on following a slow start to life at Spurs.
The Mali international has only made four Premier League starts following his big-money move from Brighton, with Football London’s Alasdair Gold suggesting that his lack of action could be down to poor displays in training.
However, it is surely just a matter of time until things start to click for Bissouma, who was one of the best performers in the Premier League while at Brighton.
Even Toure backs Bissouma to make it at Tottenham, admitting that “physically and technically, he has it” when speaking to the Spurs No.38 on Instagram.
Hopefully, Antonio Conte can get the best out of his £25m recruit soon, and he can spur Tottenham on to a successful campaign.
