It would be fair to say that Jalen Brunson has been enjoying life since leading the New York Knicks to NBA Finals success.
Brunson, called the new King of New York in some circles, certainly deserves it too.
The Hawks have secured Lu Dort in a blockbuster trade! Is this the signing of the offseason?
The Oklahoma City Thunder traded All-Defensive wing Lu Dort to the Atlanta Hawks in a three-team deal that sends three second-round picks to OKC, former No. 1 pick Zaccharie Risacher to the Dallas Mavericks and Ryan Nembhard to Atlanta.
Ever since he helped spark wild scenes of celebration in The Big Apple last month, the 29-year-old has been pictured at several celebrity-filled events.
Even by Brunson’s own standards, however, the past weekend was an impressive feat of sheer endurance.
Fans react as Brunson appears at ESPYS, WWE and World Cup final
After winning several awards at the ESPYS in New York, the NBA star made appearances at a number of different huge sporting events.
Brunson helped close out WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event alongside world heavyweight champion Roman Reigns, while also appearing at the Yankees-Dodgers game in the Bronx.
The small matter of attending the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina at the New York New Jersey Stadium (MetLife Stadium) in East Rutherford was also on his agenda on Sunday.
Indeed, it was an exceptionally busy few days for Brunson, who also appeared on several podcasts and shows, too.
Though Brunson’s endurance should hardly be a surprise at this point, the pace with which he approached last weekend did impress fans on social media platform X.
“Well deserved,” said one fan.
“This is why he’s the king of NY!” added another supporter.

“Enjoy vacation King,” read this response.
Another commenter said: “Rest up, Champ!”
One reply read: “King of the City.”
The fact he only recently had wrist surgery too makes it all the more impressive.
With months left in the offseason, Brunson will no doubt make more high-profile appearances befitting of the unofficial King of New York.
Brunson, of course, was far from the only celebrity seen at the World Cup final. A-list celebrities from sport, media and entertainment were out in full force to watch one of the worst finals in recent World Cup history.
Spain beat Argentina after extra-time following what was a dreadful clash in New Jersey, with defending world champions Argentina heavily criticized for their approach to the game.
