Bild journalist Christian Falk has discussed how Pep Guardiola’s extraordinary conviction skills could be an obstacle for Liverpool in their pursuit for Jude Bellingham.

The German journalist has recently reported how the Reds are currently beating Real Madrid in the race to sign the World Cup phenom, who was compared to Steven Gerrard by Yaya Toure (via the Athletic).

In addition, Falk had also revealed how the 19-year-old’s family fancy a move to Merseyside instead of Madrid as well.

However, one cannot forget that Manchester City are also amongst the chasing pack to sign the Borussia Dortmund fan favourite, as reported by Florian Plettenburg.

With Ilkay Gundogan being in the final year of his contract and Bernardo Silva constantly linked with a switch elsewhere, one can see why City are keen on Bellingham’s arrival.

And as per a latest update, the Premier League champions have a secret weapon at their disposal that could make the move possible.

“It’s the beginning of a poker [game]. At the end, they have to see if the others like City; they are also keen on him say ‘we can pay him’.”

“You know, Pep Guardiola is also a very convincing type when he talks to player”, he commented.

A chat with Guardiola could convince most players to play under him

Pep Guardiola is inarguably one of the greatest managers of all time.

The Spanish tactician’s trophy cabinet speaks for itself, as well as his impeccable track record of improving players.

While one can fully understand why Jude Bellingham would be tempted by a move to Liverpool, the same can be said in Manchester City’s case, especially if Pep Guardiola gets involved.
