Speaking on the Que Golazo Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has given a very reassuring update on the future of Tottenham star Harry Kane.

Kane is obviously one of the best strikers in the world these days, with his goalscoring record over the last half a decade speaking for itself, and as always, there have been rumours about Europe’s elite swooping for Tottenham’s crown jewel.

Luckily, it seems as though Spurs’ striker wants to stay at the north London club.

“You’re right when you say there are a lot of rumours about him, you know Real Madrid, Juventus and a lot of other clubs have tried to sign Harry Kane, summer by summer, and he keeps staying,” Romano said.

“What I want to say to Tottenham fans is that Harry Kane is ready to stay again also next summer. Talking with people around Tottenham, they say that something is changing around Tottenham, you know, they want to be back in the Champions League, they are working to extend the contract of Son, and they have a project to be back at a top top level under Jose Mourinho.

“Daniel Levy is so happy with the squad, so he wants to keep his best players and obviously Harry Kane is one of the best ones, so that’s why he’s going to stay, also next summer.

“Obviously if some top clubs arrive with €150 million, things can change, but at the moment nobody can really spend that money in Europe, and that’s why Tottenham are totally convinced that Harry is staying.”

This is probably the best news Tottenham fans will hear all year.

Every few months it seems as though a new rumour about Kane’s future comes out to frighten Spurs fans, but it seems as though they have nothing to worry about this time around.

The striker is undoubtedly the club’s most important player, and you have to say that keeping him at the club is more important than any signing they will make.

Kane has already written his name into the history books as a Tottenham legend, but despite all of his records and all of his goals, his trophy cabinet remains barren, and that’s something he’ll surely want to change.

Kane staying at the club is a massive boost for Spurs, and hopefully this leads to more success in the coming years.
