Speaking on the Here We Go Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Folarin Balogun’s future at Arsenal will be decided in the coming days.
One way or another, Balogun’s future is set to be settled after months of speculation about him either getting a new contract or leaving the club.
There had been reports that the striker was close to signing a pre-contract agreement with an unnamed club, but with no official announcement on that yet, Romano says that Arsenal are still in the race.
“Balogun wants to play, he only wants to play that’s the situation, if he’s going to play, there are chances for Arsenal. If not, also in the coming days there are chances for other clubs, a lot of clubs are interested, we mentioned a lot of clubs, we can say that in the Bundesliga there are really important clubs interested in Balogun, but no decision has been made yet,” Romano said.
“The player wants to have his space, he’s really in a good relationship with Arsenal people because he loves the club, but at the moment he wants to play. In the coming days, we’ll know more about his future it’s not so long, it’s not taking so long.”
Finally, it seems as though this saga is going to come to an end.
Whether or not Balogun stays or leaves remains to be seen, but at least once his future is sorted he can fully focus on his football rather than the media circus that has been following him for the past few months.
He won’t be short of suitors, and the fact that there are plenty of Bundesliga clubs interested is a testament to how talented he is.
No matter what happens with Balogun and Arsenal, we can only hope that he makes a decision that is right for his career.
