Is Joao Felix joining Arsenal?
Well, there’s certainly a lot of speculation.
A few days ago, The Record reported – as covered by HITC Football – that Arsenal’s pursuit was a lot more ‘advanced’ than that of Manchester United.
And that’s definitely good news, but what about Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain and other reported suitors?
Well, Fabrizio Romano has, in our opinion, delivered a very welcome update on this regard.
According to the reliable Italian journalist, speaking on his YouTube channel, neither Chelsea or PSG are in talks to bring the Atletico Madrid maestro – a £113 million signing in 2019 [Daily Mail] – to their club this winter.

Romano said: “Chelsea, at the moment, are not in advanced negotiations for Joao Felix. They [Arsenal] know about Joao Felix. They’ve had conversations with Jorge Mendes. PSG are not working on Joao Felix and they’re not focusing on him as a target.”
Is Joao Felix joining Arsenal?
Well the possibility is a lot more likely if Romano is correct, yes.
That’s because both the Blues and mega-rich French giants have the resources and clout to tempt somebody like Felix to their club this winter.
But if neither are in the race then that, in theory, makes things drastically less complicated for Arsenal in their pursuit.
Of course, fending off Manchester United will be difficult but if The Record is true then the North Londoners are, as mentioned above, more advanced than the Red Devils.
