Speaking on the Feather on Football Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has made an interesting claim on Jack Grealish’s future at Aston Villa.

The Villa star has long been linked with a move away from the Midlands outfit, but after putting pen to paper on a new deal last summer, it looked as though Dean Smith’s side had secured his long-term future.

However, Romano believes that he will be on the move next summer.

“He can be linked with many other clubs because in my opinion I believe he is a fantastic player. I can’t understand why he’s not at a top team,” Romano said.

“Yes, next summer he will leave in my opinion, he’s ready to go to a top club, and he is on the list of many clubs, so I think we also need to see what’s going on with the pandemic, because if the sitation will continue like this, for Manchester United it will be impossible to sign both Sancho and Grealish, so they will have to decide a top target.

“We will see also from other clubs, because Manchester City and many other clubs are looking at him.”

This isn’t all that surprising to hear.

Man City and Manchester United have been long-term admirers of Grealish, so it’s no shock to hear that they’ll be back in for him.

Everyone knows that Grealish has the talent and ability to play for one of these top sides, and Romano expects him to join one of those sides in the summer.

Whether or not his claim comes to fruition remains to be seen, but it is certainly interesting to hear this from one of the most reliable journalists in Europe.
