Fabrizio Romano has said Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour will be subject to a new transfer offer from Brighton & Hove Albion today, with Everton and Rangers also interested in signing the Scottish talent.
The Italian journalist took to Twitter to confirm that the Seagulls will be back with a fresh bid for Gilmour this transfer deadline day, with Brighton keen to sign the former Rangers academy graduate before the window closes later tonight.
Gilmour enjoyed a rough loan spell at Norwich City last season with the midfielder yet to feature regularly under Thomas Tuchel, with the Scottish international’s future now seemingly likely to be away from Stamford Bridge as Brighton prepares a new bid to sign the talented playmaker.
Reportedly also wanted by Everton and Rangers, the £43,000-a-week 21-year-old was once regarded by many as one of the best talents in Britain, however, huge missteps from Chelsea and Tuchel have seen Gilmour lose his reputation as well as valuable development, yet moving to Brighton could solve all of that for the midfielder.

Gilmour has seen his career take a turn many never expected with the midfielder now in a position where he has to leave Chelsea in order to get his career back off the ground, and joining a club like Brighton will do just that for the 21-year-old playmaker.
Indeed, Brighton have shown over the years to be the perfect club for young players to hone their talents and become better at their game, and for Gilmour, signing for the Seagulls will do just that, with the midfielder likely to replicate the success of former Chelsea academy star Tariq Lamptey.
