A fresh revelation has emerged about RSC Anderlecht and Standard Liege swooping in for a transfer involving Tottenham Hotspur boy-wonder Romaine Mundle.

Recently, MUTV commentator Stewart Gardner said the 20-year-old ‘looks a player’ in a Premier League 2 clash against Manchester United.

While Romaine Mundle has always been billed to be a top talent, he now has a chance to leave Tottenham Hotspur if he fancies a transfer to either Anderlecht or Standard Liege.

A natural winger by trade, the highly-rated wonderkid is known for his creativity, silky feet, directness and encouraging end product.

To the extent that Football Fan Cast branded the Englishman as the ‘next Heung min-Son’, which tells you all you need to know about how talented he is.

However, Fabrizio Romano reported on Thursday that Romaine Mundle has the chance to leave Tottenham if a transfer to either Anderlecht or Standard Liege catches his eye.

“Understand Anderlecht and Standard Liege are amongst number of European clubs racing to sign Romaine Mundle on free transfer from Tottenham”, Romano said.

He added, “Personal terms have been offered to 2003 born winger — priority, sporting project & first-team football guarantees.”

HITC View: Tottenham should map out a pathway to first-team football for him

The reality is that while millions of young players have the talent to become top players, only a minority actually go on fulfil their potential.

Considering Romaine Mundle has always known to be precociously talented, Tottenham should persuade the youth sensation to reject the transfer approaches from Anderlecht and Standard Liege.

With Mundle’s contract due to run out in the summer, the ball is in his court.

Instead, if Spurs well and truly rate the sparkling wideman highly, they should provide a detailed plan to him about how he could become a first-team player one day.

Much like Manchester City did so with Phil Foden, it seemed like amidst the suggestions for him to be loaned out, the player and the club were always aware that his time would eventually come.

If Tottenham are happy to let Romaine Mundle leave, that is a completely different conversation but with depth needed out wide, it may not be sensible to sanction his exit.
