Emmanuel Petit has raved about Chelsea midfielder and reported Arsenal target N’Golo Kante in 90min.
The former Arsenal and France star believes that Kante, linked with a move to Mikel Arteta’s Gunners from Graham Potter’s Chelsea, will be missed at the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar.
The 31-year-old was part of the France squad that won the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia.
Kante will not play for Les Bleus in Qatar due to injury.
90min reported last month that Arsenal are keen on signing Kante, who is out of contract at Chelsea at the end of the season.
La Repubblica reported this week that Chelsea are willing to sell the former Leicester City midfielder for £18 million in January.
Emmanuel Petit on Arsenal-linked Chelsea star N’Golo Kante
Petit said when asked about lacking a right-back worries him for France: “No, I’m worried that we miss Pogba and Kanté in midfield. In modern football most of the time games are won in midfield.
“Both Pogba and Kanté were extraordinary when they won the World Cup four years ago. Pogba has won games in a big competition like this and without Kanté we all know it will be very difficult in midfield.”

What a signing it would be!
In our view, N’Golo Kante would be a brilliant signing for Arsenal, especially in the January transfer window.
Yes, Kante is 31 now and has had injury problems in recent years, but when fit and available, he is one of the best players in his position.
Arsenal are five points clear of second-placed Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table at the moment.
If Kante was to join the Gunners in the middle of the season, then it would enhance their chances of winning the title ahead of defending champions City.
