Noah Beck had tipped the USA to cause an upset at the 2022 FIFA World Cup with the TikTok star predicting his friend Christian Pulsic to impress at the competition.

In an exclusive interview with HITC Football, the influencer and model predicted Gregg Berhalter’s side to surprise a few in Qatar, with the US set to face off against the likes of England and Wales in Group B. Beck said on America’s chances: “We have a very young squad and they’re very hungry and I think they’re been fun to watch.

“Recently we had some games going into qualifiers and we haven’t looked our best, but I think we’re just playing with a chip on our shoulder, and guys like Christian Pulisic, who is now a dear friend of mine and a stud, will do good things for the US. I think McKennie is going to have a good run this year and the list goes on.

“It’s going to be a good year or a good few months for US Soccer. We’re going to shock a lot of people.”

Beck’s comments come a few months after the model shocked the English footballing world after his performance in the 2022 Soccer Aid charity match, with the Arizona-born social media star stealing the show from central midfield. Yet is praise from David Beckham that has stayed with the model.

Beck said on meeting and being lauded by the England footballing legend: “I’ve played that clip over and over. My whole family came out to that game (Soccer Aid) and it was pretty amazing cuz I didn’t see or hear any of the commentary, and afterwards, I go on Twitter and I see the clip where he says “Noah’s been impressive”.

“I played that in my dad’s ear, it was very surreal. Beckham is an idol of mine and someone who I’ve looked up to for quite a while. Having someone like that who knows who I am is a bit surreal. If you told me Beckham was saying my name ten years ago, it’s pretty unreal.”

Indeed, the praise from Beckham didn’t stop there as Beck recounted actually meeting the former Manchester United star himself: “I think I blacked out,” said the 21-year-old.

“We were getting our medals and the adrenaline was there and I was soaking in the 70,000 or so fans that were there, and then all of a sudden he comes up and taps me on my shoulder and hands me my medal. One of my best friends plays for his team (Inter Miami) so we spoke about that, and I’m pretty close with Romeo and Cruz now.”
