HITC understands that Roberto De Zerbi is being monitored by Juventus who are now considering the future of Max Allegri after their failure to challenge for the Serie A title this season.

This will be a summer of change around Europe with top clubs looking for new managers.

Xavi is leaving Barcelona this summer and Thomas Tuchel’s departure from Bayern Munich has already been confirmed.

Add in Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool exit and some of Europe’s biggest jobs will be available.

Others could make changes too and Juventus are one of the clubs who may join the managerial hunt.

Juventus eye Roberto De Zerbi

HITC understands that Juventus are considering the future of boss Max Allegri and hold an interest in Brighton and Hove Albion’s Roberto De Zerbi.

Juventus’ sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli – who arrived at the club in 2023 – helped steer the club through a plethora of recent issues that have seen massive fines and even a ban from European football.

Giuntoli decided to keep Allegri this season, whilst also trying to tie down star names Federico Chiesa, Dusan Vlahovic and Adrien Rabiot – but things are not going according to plan.

Juve sit third in Serie A but some 20 points adrift of Inter Milan and that is not deemed good enough in Turin and Allegri’s future is under the spotlight.

Giuntoli and Juve are aware of the managerial merry-go-round that is set to ensue in Europe with the likes of Barcelona, Bayer Munich and Liverpool amongst those looking at new coaches.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund are also believed to be considering changes.

With that in mind, HITC understands Juve are doing their own due diligence on potential candidates and one name that they are very much interested in is Brighton’s De Zerbi – who has been talked about by Barca, Bayern and Liverpool.

As HITC revealed, De Zerbi has put new contract talks with Brighton on hold – although they remain hopeful the Italian will commit his future to them.

De Zerbi record at Brighton

De Zerbi succeeded Graham Potter as Brighton boss in 2022, months after leaving Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk.

The Italian has now won 37 of his 80 games in charge of the Seagulls, drawing 19 and losing 24.

De Zerbi’s results and approach to the game have earned him admirers and Juve just the latest suitor.

A former AC Milan and Napoli player, De Zerbi does have Serie A experience as a manager.

De Zerbi won plaudits at Benevento before joining Sassuolo in 2018, landing two eighth-placed finishes.

The 44-year-old left Italian football in 2021 but Juventus are now showing an interest in luring him back.
