Gary Lineker and Cesc Fabregas have praised reported Arsenal and Liverpool target Hakan Calhanoglu on BBC One (7:39pm, June 11, 2021).
Calhanogu, who has been linked with Arsenal and Liverpool, will be in action for Turkey against Italy in Euro 2020 this evening.
Lineker said about Calhanogu on BBC One (7:39pm, June 11, 2021): “He is an exceptionally talented player. He is creative.”
Fabregas responded: “He is very talented. What I like about him is that he takes risks to create forward. He is not scared to create things.”
Arsenal and Liverpool rumours
Calhanogu is out of contract at AC Milan at the end of the month.
No new deal has been signed yet, and it looks like the ‘new Mesut Ozil’ will be available on a free transfer.
Both Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing the Turkey international playmaker this summer.
Milan Live claimed last month that Arsenal have been speaking to the 27-year-old’s agent, as we covered here on HITC Sport.
According to Calciomercato, Liverpool have also held talks with the Turkey international’s agents.
Liverpool or Arsenal transfer?
Both Liverpool and Arsenal could do with a player such as Calhanogu.
The Gunners need to sign an attacking midfielder if Martin Odegaard does not return for another loan spell.
Liverpool could do with a creative player in the middle of the park.

The Turkey international creates chances and is also very good at set pieces.
The former Bayer Leverkusen star made 30 starts and three substitute appearances in Serie A for Milan this past season.
The 27-year-old scored four goals and gave nine assists in those matches.
