Rangers winger Ryan Kent is aware of interest from Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United and Frank Lampard’s Everton and wants to leave Ibrox in the summer transfer window, according to journalist Dean Jones.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported in GiveMeSport that he has been told that Kent wants to leave Rangers this summer despite the Gers being ready to offer him a new deal.

90min reported last week that Leeds, Everton, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Fulham all want to sign the former Liverpool winger from Rangers this summer.

Ryan Kent stance amid Leeds and Everton interest

Jones told GiveMeSport: “I’m told Ryan Kent will still look to leave this summer as he wants to play in the Premier League.

“Rangers are ready to make him a new contract offer, but it sounds like he fancies a move, and he knows clubs like Leeds and Everton are keen.”

Surprise?

In our opinion, it would be a surprise if Kent leaves Rangers for Leeds or Everton in the summer transfer window should the Gers qualify for the Champions League next season

Rangers will play in the Europa League this season, and winning it will see them get direct qualification for the Champions League.

Yes, Everton and Leeds are big clubs, but both are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.

Kent – described as “absolutely exceptional with the ball at his feet” by former Bayern Munich star Owen Hargreaves on BT Sport’s Europa League highlights show in February 2022 – is 25 now, and he has time on his hands to make the move to a Premier League club in the future.
