Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to speculation that reported Tottenham Hotspur managerial target Julian Nagelsmann will move to Bayern Munich.

According to Bild this afternoon, Nagelsmann has agreed to become the new Bayern manager and will leave his current club RB Leipzig at the end of the season.

Sport1 reported yesterday (7:47pm UK time) that Bayern had started talks with Leipzig over Nagelsmann.

It seems that an agreement has been reached between Bayern and the German, and perhaps an announcement will be made soon.

This latest development will come as a blow to Tottenham, who have been linked with the 33-year-old German manager.

According to The Daily Mail, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy wants to appoint Nagelsmann as the club’s new manager.

The Sun has also claimed interest from Spurs in the 33-year-old RB Leipzig boss.

Former Tottenham striker Lineker believes that Nagelsmann would be a brilliant managerial appointment for Bayern.

Blow for Tottenham Hotspur

Nagelsmann has a strong reputation and is a rising star in football management in Europe.

The 33-year-old would have been a very good managerial appointment for Spurs, but it seems that the North London club will miss out.

Ryan Mason is in charge of the Tottenham first team at the moment and will stay in the role until the end of the season.

It is hard to see Levy make Mason Jose Mourinho’s permanent successor, and it will be interesting to see which manager he eventually appoints this summer.
