Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly suffered a blow in their quest to appoint Julian Nagelsmann as the permanent successor to Jose Mourinho.
According to The Daily Mail, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy wants to appoint Nagelsmann as the club’s new manager.
The Sun has also claimed interest from Spurs in the 33-year-old RB Leipzig boss.
However, Sport1 has reported this evening (7:47pm UK time) that Bayern Munich have started talks with Leipzig over Nagelsmann.
The report has claimed that Bayern are the club that the German manager desires, and that the Bavarian giants will have to pay €15 million (£13.07 million) in compensation for him.
Blow for Tottenham Hotspur
This new report in the German news outlet will come as a massive blow to Spurs, as it seems that Bayern could wrap up the appointment of Nagelsmann soon.
The season in Germany will end soon, and one suspects that Bayern want to appoint the German before planning for the summer.
This will come as a blow to Spurs on the same day they lost to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final.
Earlier today, Spurs went down 1-0 to Premier League rivals City at Wembley Stadium in London.
