Newcastle United are among those credited with interest in the Sheffield United talent.

Ex-Newcastle United defender John Beresford has named the price at which Sheffield United should consider selling coveted midfielder David Brooks.
Brooks has impressed since making his debut for Sheffield United earlier this season and made his international debut for Wales at the start of this month.
Beresford’s old side Newcastle are among those credited with interest in the 20-year-old, as per the Daily Mirror, with a £20 million price tag suggested by the same publication.
But the Sheffield-born 51-year-old, who is a lifelong supporter of the Blades, has revealed a bid of half that amount would be enough for him.
“Absolutely (Brooks has got his price),” Beresford told Sheffield Live TV on Thursday. “I think £10 million – and if I was at that kind of club (that wants to buy Brooks) I’d go, ‘we’ll pay £10 million and you can keep him until the end of the season and probably another year.'”

Newcastle would perhaps struggle to fund such a move for Brooks in their current financial state, but may have a better chance should their proposed takeover go through.
The former Manchester City trainee recently signed a new four-year deal at Bramall Lane, leaving the ball very much in the court of Sheffield United, who are currently third in the Championship.
