Celtic have enjoyed a magnificent spell under Rodgers.
Ex-Hoops striker Scott McDonald spoke exclusively to BBC Sport Scotland, and opened up on a conversation he shared with Scott Brown regarding Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers.
The Glasgow giants have been nothing other than sensational following the 44-year-old’s appointment as manager 18 months ago, and are currently in the midst of a 65 game unbeaten run domestically.
They sit comfortably at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, three points clear of second placed Aberdeen with a game in hand, and have already secured their first trophy of the season after Sunday’s 2-0 win over Motherwell in the League Cup final.

And McDonald, who scored 64 goals for the Hoops during a three-and-a-half year spell at Celtic Park, opened up on a conversation he shared with Celtic captain Scott Brown, highlighting the respect that Rodgers has garnered at the club, as quoted by BBC Sport Scotland:
“It’s unbelievable. He just keeps breaking records. I bumped into Scott Brown after the game. We were discussing about his philosophy and obviously we had discussion on here about the Champions League but just by speaking to Scott, you can see how in awe of Brendan Rodgers they all are. And they believe in him so much and that belief grows within the team.”
Next up for Rodgers an co is a trip to Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership tomorrow night, and a victory would see them stretch their lead at the top of the table over Aberdeen to six points.
