Douglas Luiz is reportedly being given footballing lessons following a slow start to life at Juventus following his Aston Villa transfer.
Aston Villa had a busy summer transfer window with the Villains spending £50 million on Everton midfielder Amadou Onana, with the Belgian having an incredible start for the Midlands club.
The signing of the former Lille midfielder came at a cost with Brazilian ace Douglas Luiz moving to Italian giants Juventus but Villa also received Samuel Iling-Junior and Argentine Enzo Barrenchea.
However, since his move to Juventus, Luiz has been criticised for the Italian media and the Brazilian is now in the firing line.

Thiago Motta giving ‘football lessons’ to Douglas Luiz
Thursday’s edition of Tuttosport has a front page with Luiz splashed across it and the words ‘Douglas lezioni di Motta’, which means the player is now receiving lessons from Juventus manager Thiago Motta.
As mentioned, the Italian media has been rather harsh with Luiz who has not made the desired impact so far in Turin and Tuttosport, which is the newspaper that pays the most attention to Juve, they seem to be the next media platform to add to the pile on.
Tuttosport explains that since arriving from the Premier League club, Luiz has only had 55 minutes over three games. They see the problem as tactical and physical, with the midfielder not quite slotting into how Thiago Motta wants to play.
This seems a rather harsh analysis from the Italian media but it seems they are turning on the Brazilian midfielder.
Douglas Luiz under pressure to impress
Juventus were accused of doing Villa a favour with the signing of Luiz which seems incredibly harsh particularly after the season he had at the Midlands club who reached the Champions League.
Last season, Vini Souza hailed Luiz as ‘amazing’ and it would certainly be a surprise if the Brazilian lost that ability just months after completing his move to Turin.
Perhaps the simple solution is that Luiz needs to be given game time to prove himself and settle in Italy. Villa take on Juventus in the Champions League it will be interesting to see if the Brazilian starts against his former club.
