Tam McManus has said that Rangers should appoint Queens Park Rangers manager Michael Beale as their new boss following the departure of Giovanni van Bronckhorst, as quoted in The Daily Record.
The former Hibernian player and pundit has noted that the Rangers board knows Beale already, with the 42-year-old having worked as a coach at Ibrox under then manager Steven Gerrard.
Beale is now in charge of QPR in the Championship in England and recently turned down the change to manage Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Rangers told to hire Michael Beale
McManus said: “I think that the Rangers board know him, they know what he’s like, they have seen him operate on the training ground.
“Everyone says that he took all the training and he was brains behind Rangers, the brains behind Gerrard.
“So he’s went and done well at QPR and I think he would be the one that Rangers would want and the Rangers board would want.”

Could it happen?
In our view, Rangers could struggle to convince Michael Beale to leave his role at Queens Park Rangers and move to Rangers.
Yes, we know that Rangers are one of the biggest clubs in the world and have a huge fanbase, but the Gers are already far behind Celtic in the league table and may have to rebuild their squad again.
QPR are in the running for the Championship playoffs this season and are building towards something special.
Moreover, Beale recently rejected the chance to manage Wolves, a big and established club in the Premier League.
