Eric Dier has told Tottenham Hotspur’s official App that everyone felt that the side had a good week in training in the build up to their game against Leeds United.

Tottenham were downed 3-1 by Leeds on Saturday, and they never really got to grips with Marcelo Bielsa’s side in the contest.

Spurs did show flashes of quality, with Dele Alli’s pass into Heung-Min Son a particular highlight for them.

However, they were exposed defensively by a Leeds side who continue to impress this term.

But Dier has spoken up in support of Tottenham’s training.

And insists he felt that Spurs’s preparation for the game was thorough.

“We have a whole week now to prepare and do some more work [before their next match],” he said.

“It’s disappointing because we had a good week this week leading into this game, everyone felt in a good place.

“But this is a tough place to come and play and now we have another good week’s work and two tough homes games to come.”

Dier’s positive words about Tottenham’s training week in the build up to the Leeds match, add further credence to reports suggesting that the players are enjoying Mason’s training.

Alasdair Gold said that he has been told that Tottenham’s squad have been impressed by the sessions designed by their interim boss.

Mason has now won two and lost two of his opening four games in charge of Spurs, as the Lilywhites’ search for Jose Mourinho’s replacement continues.
