Alasdair Gold has suggested on Youtube that Tottenham Hotspur’s interim boss Ryan Mason has seriously impressed at Hotspur Way.

Mason may not have much managerial experience and still only be 29, but he has won both his matches in charge of Tottenham.

Spurs are playing with a higher defensive line than almost the entirety of their time under Jose Mourinho.

And their new found attacking style would to great affect in their last match.

Spurs dismantled Sheffield United, as they picked up an impressive 4-0 win.

Part of the reason for that victory is said to be Mason, who has put his ideas across on the training ground well.

“Ryan Mason, everything I’m hearing about Ryan Mason, in terms of what he’s doing, I think he’s doing a phenomenal job,” Gold said.

“Everything I’m hearing from people within the club, and people who don’t really have a reason to say this, or have a reason to promote or plug him.

“But what I’m hearing a lot and from different people is that his training sessions are excellent. That he’s doing really, really well, in very quickly having to implement what he wants. The players are enjoying themselves.”

Gold’s update can only be encouraging for those around Tottenham.

Even if Mason is quite ready to land the permanent job at this time, if his training sessions are impressing the first-team then Tottenham’s youngsters should be in good hands, if the 29-year-old goes back to his old role.

Mason looks likely to be in charge again for Tottenham at the weekend, when they take on Leeds United, knowing that they are likely to need to win if they are to keep their hopes of making the top four alive.
