Donald Trump was there for the World Cup final, and all eyes were on who he had brought along with him, as well as how he would behave.
The US president has largely stayed away from matches but is at the World Cup final between Argentina and Spain, where he will hand the trophy over to the winners alongside FIFA boss Gianni Infantino.
Trump hasn’t been to many games but has had a huge role in this tournament, but it was all about who was sat alongside him in the New York-New Jersey stadium.

Who was Donald Trump sat alongside at the World Cup final?
After Trump brought a raft of guests to the NBA finals it was expected to be a game of guess who when it came to who would be joining him for the World Cup final.
However, it seemed to be a limited crowd. As well as sitting next to Infantino his wife, Melania Trump, was also next to him, in front of a contingent of other senior members.
In the footage of the president, Trump can be seen revelling when he is handed the World Cup trophy ahead of his duties later.
Canadian prime minister Mark Carney has also been spotted shaking hands with Trump, but it isn’t known if he was a direct guest as well as his son, Barron Trump.
This is the first game that Trump has visited all tournament and he was sat behind a glass window, like he did when seeing the New York Knicks.
Trump has already announced that he wants the USA to host the World Cup again, but he has been under fire after he helped to get Folarin Balogun’s red card rescinded.
Does Donald Trump like soccer?
While he has had his say on certain topics throughout the summer, it is well known that Trump is not a soccer fanatic.
He did admit in the build-up to the final that the sport is growing on him though and even waxed lyrical about Lionel Messi’s display for Argentina against England.
““He was well guarded,” Trump said at an event on 17 July. “Then he moved to the right and the other player was just standing there. He had plenty of time to kick it. It was within, I would say, a quarter-inch of being perfect. That was the end of the game. It was brilliant.”
