Everton are reportedly set to miss out on another January transfer target with Borussia Dortmund attacker Thorgan Hazard set to sign for PSV Eindhoven on loan.

According to Sport1, the Belgian international will sign for the Dutch giants on a temporary deal until the end of the season, with Everton missing out on yet another deadline day target having already lost out on the likes of Kamaldeen Sulemana, Sheraldo Becker and Conor Gallagher.

Everton are yet to make any signings since Sean Dyche’s appointment and hours are fading fast for the new Toffees manager to bring in anyone to help support the Merseyside club, with Hazard the latest name to slip through their fingers this deadline day.

With time running out, it now seems likely that Everton will end the January transfer window with zero no signings and a new manager with a big job on his hands, though luckily for Dyche, there’s every chance that the former Burnley manager can kee his new team up with what is currently on deck.

PSV signing Hazard should not come as a shock to Everton

A creative attacker like Hazard would have been a great addition for Everton this January, however, with the Premier League side missing out on yet another target, losing to PSV for the Belgian won’t come as much of a blow to Dyche.

Indeed, the English coach can do a lot with what Everton currently have in their squad, and whilst a new forward would have been of use for Dyche in the second half of the season, missing out on Hazard is hardly the end of the world for the Goodison Park side.
