Everton and West Ham United are set to miss out on Sheraldo Becker with the Union Berlin likely to stay in Germany now.

Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg claims that Becker has received interest from both Everton and West Ham.

Both Premier League clubs are chasing attacking reinforcements on deadline day and Becker was a prime target.

Sadly, Plettenberg now claims that Becker has decided to stay with Union and no deal will be done today.

Union don’t want to lose Becker in the final hours of the window and a move to the Premier League just won’t be happening.

That leaves Everton and West Ham to look elsewhere for a new signing in attack with Becker set to remain in Berlin.

Everton and West Ham target Sheraldo Becker is absolutely rapid

Becker may not be a household name outside of Germany but he has been shining in Germany.

The former Ajax winger showed some promise with ADO Den Haag in the Netherlands but few expected him to become such a star.

Becker has smashed seven goals in 18 Bundesliga games this season, adding four assists too.

Capable of playing as a striker or as a right winger, Becker has been terrorising Bundesliga defenders for some time now.

A Suriname international, Becker’s main attribute is his blistering pace.

Becker was clocked as the second-fastest player in the Bundesliga in 2022, even faster that Erling Haaland and Jeremie Frimpong.

Only Moussa Diaby was clocked at being faster than Becker, summing up what a threat Becker can be in the final third.

That kind of pace would be welcomed at Everton and West Ham but, barring a late turnaround, a last-gasp deal won’t be happening.

Both teams are battling at the wrong end of the table whilst Becker is challenging for Champions League football with Union, so maybe Becker is in for an enormous few months.
