German journalist Christian Falk has said that Dennis Geiger could become the first signing of the Sean Dyche era at Everton in the summer.

Just recently, it was reported that the Toffees were set to face competition from Eintracht Frankfurt to sign the Hoffenheim midfielder, who has been likened to Joshua Kimmich by Sandro Wagner in the past on the official Bundesliga website.

That also explains why it was once stated that Pep Guardiola was a fan of the 24-year-old.

But it seems as if Sean Dyche and Everton could now get their hands on Dennis Geiger next season, whose contracts expires in 2023.

Sean Dyche and Everton could win the race to sign Dennis Geiger

Considering the former Burnley boss’ team were praised by Arsenal duo Mikel Arteta and Eddie Nketiah, despite the Premier League leaders suffering a 1-0 defeat shows the impact he has had straightaway. But the man is not a magician and is in need of reinforcements. Even Ian Wright admitted that the Gunners deserved to end up on the losing side.

Christian Falk has now delivered a positive bit of news for both Sean Dyche and Everton fans about their chances of signing Dennis Geiger in his column for Caught Offside.

“Dennis Geiger could become Sean Dyche’s first signing for Everton. There is serious interest there, he’s 24 and he is set to become a free agent in the summer.”

“Also, Frankfurt and Benfica are interested, so I think there will be competition between Frankfurt and Everton. Frankfurt has to act on the position and they need someone but Everton has a bit more money. I think Geiger’s future could be up to these two clubs.” Also, Florian Plettenburg tweeted that Frankfurt could miss out on him.

Well, Everton and Sean Dyche would be bringing in a well-rounded midfielder, who is proficient at operating as a No.6 and has the technical ability to add both silk and steel to the side’s midfield, which is a blend that remains a major need to the squad.
