Everton are being offered the chance to sign Moussa Dembele the Lyon striker seemingly available ahead of his contract expiring.
That’s according to the Daily Mail, who claim that Dembele has been put forward to the Toffees as a potential January signing.
Dembele is out of contract at the end of the season and can now be signed in a bargain cash deal this month.
Lyon paid £19million to sign Dembele in 2018 and any deal in January would be worth a mere fraction of that fee.
Foot Mercato reported earlier this week that Everton were planning to make an offer to sign Dembele for free this summer.
Yet the report suggested that Everton were bringing forward those plans and would be attempting to sign Dembele this month.
It may be that an agent has contacted Everton and made them aware that a deal can be done right now.

Moussa Dembele could be the striker Everton need
Dominic Calvert-Lewin isn’t quite the threat he once was and Neal Maupay has struggled since joining from Brighton and Hove Albion.
It’s clear that Everton need to find themselves another striker and preferably one who can find the net regularly.
Dembele has proven that he can be that player.
The 26-year-old has scored goals regularly for his three senior clubs, first bagging 19 goals in 64 games for Fulham.
Dembele’s time at Celtic really put him on the map as a quality striker, smashing 51 goals in 94 games for the Bhoys.
Dembele’s Lyon record is a little up-and-down; 44 goals in his first two seasons, one goal in his third, 22 in his fourth and now just two this season.
With a career record of 139 games in 324 games, Dembele has shown that he can provide goals.
Hailed as ‘brilliant’ by Kieran Tierney, Dembele is exactly what Everton need right now and if a deal is there to be done, Kevin Thelwell and Frank Lampard have to push for it.
