Rio Ferdinand has shared on his YouTube channel what he has been told by Everton insiders about Manchester United-owned Donny van de Beek.
Van de Beek joined Everton on loan from Premier League rivals Manchester United in the January transfer window.
The 24-year-old midfielder was brilliant for the Toffees in their win against Leeds United at Goodison Park in the Premier League this past weekend.
Former Manchester United defender Ferdinand has shared what he has been told about the Netherlands international midfielder by those at Everton.
Ferdinand said on his YouTube channel, as transcribed by TheBootRoom: “I’ve been speaking to a few people at the club and they’ve said that he’s gone in there and lifted the levels, training-wise.
“Great lad, first and foremost, but you can see. A lot of them are going: ‘wow, he’s this good, they must be unbelievable at Manchester United if he can’t get in’.”

Donny van de Beek could flourish at Everton
In our view, Van de Beek could flourish at Everton in the final weeks and months of the season.
We saw against Leeds just how good the Dutchman can be.
During his time at Manchester United so far, Van de Beek has not really been given a run of games.
It is not easy for any player to perform if he is not given assurance that he will get a run of games.
Everton manager Frank Lampard is one of the best midfielders to have ever played in the Premier League.
And, in our opinion, Lampard could get the best out of Van de Beek in the coming weeks and months.
