Some Everton fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation regarding Harry Winks of Tottenham Hotspur.
What’s the story?
According to Fabrizio Romano, there is a ‘possibility’ that Tottenham midfielder Winks could join Premier League rivals Everton in the summer transfer window.
The well-known and well-respected journalist made the claim on his Twitch channel.
The Sky Sport and The Guardian journalist made the comments when asked about the future of the 25-year-old England international midfielder during a video session on Twitch this week.
What are Everton fans saying?
As you can see from the tweets below, Everton fans are not particularly keen on the prospect that Winks could join the Toffees.
Well, some of them anyway.
Winks is a good footballer who has been at Tottenham his entire professional club football career so far.
However, the England international midfielder struggled for playing time at Spurs last season.
The Tottenham no.8 made nine starts and six substitute appearances in the Premier League, and scored one goal and gave one assist in eight Europa League games last season.
But you have to consider that Jose Mourinho is no longer the Tottenham head coach.
Nuno is now in charge of Spurs, and Winks could feel that he could flourish under him.
