Fabrizio Romano has claimed on his Twitch channel that Harry Winks could leave Tottenham Hotspur for Everton.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has said that there is a ‘possibility’ that Winks could move to Rafael Benitez’s Everton.

The Sky Sport and The Guardian journalist made the claim when asked about the future of the 25-year-old England international midfielder during a video session on Twitch last night.

Could an Everton transfer happen?

Earlier this month, Football.London reported that Tottenham are willing to sell Winks in the summer transfer window.

The Telegraph claimed in June that Aston Villa are interested in the Spurs midfielder.

And now Romano has said that Winks could join Everton.

Winks struggled for playing time under Jose Mourinho at Spurs last season.

The English midfielder would be looking to get more chances under new Tottenham head coach Nuno next season.

However, if Spurs are willing to sell Winks now, then a move to Everton would not be a bad idea.

The Toffees have a new manager in Benitez, who could look to refresh the team and change the way the side have been playing in recent times.

Under a new manager and at a new club, Winks, 25, could flourish.

Everton are an ambitious club and will be looking to become a top-six regular in the Premier League in the coming years.
