The Toffees ace is on loan from Barcelona but the Premier League club’s fanbase is eager for him to stay put.

Everton ace Andre Gomes has spoken of how he feels he is growing into Premier League football following his loan move from Barcelona in comments which Toffees fans are sure to love.
The 25-year-old, reportedly valued at £40million (Liverpool Echo), has made 24 top-flight appearances for Everton this season (Transfermarkt) and has impressed both the fanbase and first-team manager Marco Silva.
Gomes was impressive yet again during the Merseyside club’s win against West Ham on Saturday, testament that he is certainly back to his best after a slight downturn in performances over the winter period.
As things stand, the Portugal international’s loan will expire at the end of the season and he will return to Camp Nou in the summer, though some supporters have urged the club to get their chequebook out.
Indeed, after his debut at the heart of the midfield in Everton’s 2-0 win against Crystal Palace last October, some fans compared Gomes to the Toffees legend Mikel Arteta.

“There is a first impact when you start in the Premier League, it is a massive league, with a lot of big teams,” Gomes told Everton’s TV channel, as quoted by the official website.
“Every game is a challenge. I am enjoying it more because I am feeling more what the Premier League is about and adapting to it… I am really happy to play here.”
With Spanish media outlet El Gol having claimed last month that Gomes is on the radar of Spanish La Liga sides Real Betis and Valencia, the player’s comments make it clear he is enjoying his time on these shores and, having adapted, he could decide he wants to continue his adventure with Everton.
