Aberdeen duo Bojan Miovski and Luis ‘Duk’ Lopes have admirers in the Premier League but neither Everton nor Southampton will be able to snap up the Pittodrie pair on the cheap.
That is according to Alan Burrows; Aberdeen’s chief executive.
Both Miovski and Duk, he points out, are on long-term deals at The Dons. As such, an Aberdeen side well-placed to secure European qualification on the back of a terrific run of form will be under ‘no pressure’ to cash in on either striker during the summer transfer window.

“Duk and Miovski have long-term contracts at the club,” Burrows says, in quotes reported by the Daily Record. “They’re only in the first year of longer term contracts. The club is under no pressure to sell any of them. The club don’t want to sell any of the two of them.”
Southampton, Everton and Burnley eye Aberdeen raid
Duk and Miovski joined Aberdeen last summer, from Benfica and MTK respectively. Both have 18 goals apiece during superb debut seasons in Scottish football.
According to the Daily Mail, goal-shy Everton scouted Duk recently, while newly-promoted Burnley are also admirers of the Cape Verde international (Fabrizio Romano).
Miovski, meanwhile, has admirers at a Southampton side who will need to add some attacking thrust to their ranks even if the Saints do slip into the Championship, as looks likely.
Now, Aberdeen may have little choice but to cash in if Everton, Burnley or Southampton stump up a sizeable fee. That, of course, is the nature of the game north of the border.
But the Dons will not simply roll over and allow Duk or Miovski to go without being financially rewarded.
“The nature of football is, that the most successful you are, the more successful players are, they attract interest from other, bigger clubs,” Burrows adds.
“That’s not just true of Aberdeen. That’s true of almost every club in the world. What I will say, and the message I would send out is; if anybody wants to take out best assets away from us, particularly ones who have long contracts, we’re going to be a very difficult club to deal with.”
