Paris Saint-Germain have reached out to Fabio Paratici to discuss the Tottenham Hotspur manager director’s interest in replacing sporting director Leonardo at the Ligue 1 leaders.
That’s according to TuttoMercatoWEB, who report Les Parisiens are likely to sack Leonardo at the end of the season. President Nasser A-Khelaifi believes the Brazilian’s tenure has run its course, with Wednesday’s Champions League exit to Real Madrid the last turning point.
Al-Khelaifi now intends to start a new chapter at the Parc des Princes as the Galacticos loss highlighted Leonardo’s failings. Particularly in the transfer market, having assembled a side packed with stars yet still unable to win UEFA’s premier club competition for the first time.

So, high-ranking Paris Saint-Germain chiefs have contacted Paratici to see if the Tottenham director is open to replacing Leonardo. The French powerhouse also wanted to learn more on his relationship with Spurs, having only taken up his role in north London last summer.
Discussions between the parties did not lead to an in-depth study of his suitability for the role of replacing Leonardo. Paratici is still looking to build an exciting future at Tottenham and played a key role in the appointment of Antonio Conte as Nuno Espirito Santo’s heir.

Reports by AS also cite Paris Saint-Germain as contacting Paratici to debate the Tottenham director’s interest in replacing Leonardo. They add the 49-year-old is among PSG’s leading targets, and that talks over a move to the Parc des Princes took place over recent months.

Al-Khelaifi has sought to identify potential options as the success of several of Leonardo’s signings have been a disappointment. Additionally, his handling of Kylian Mbappe’s case last summer frustrates the Qatari businessman, having failed to get him to sign a new deal.
Al Khelaifi even stepped in to personally oversee PSG’s latest attempt at getting the 2018 World Cup winner to renew. But Real Madrid remain confident of securing his free transfer this summer, per Goal. A year after they offered £146m, per The Guardian, for his arrival.
