Jude Bellingham not only captained Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday, but he scored in a 3-1 win over Sevilla – and both Erling Haaland and Emre Can have praised the Liverpool transfer target on Instagram.
Bellingham, 19, is Dortmund’s third captain but with both Mats Hummels and Marco Reus currently unavailable, Bellingham is wearing the armband. He did so in a 4-1 win over Sevilla, a result which saw Julen Lopetegui sacked.
The 17-time England midfielder continued his wonderful form in the Champions League with a goal and an assist. He set up Raphael Guerreiro for Dortmund’s opener, before scoring himself after some neat footwork to make it 2-0.
Dortmund went on to win 4-1 – and Bellingham was the man of the match. Fabrizio Romano recently said that the Reds have made Bellingham their top transfer target for next summer. He posted on Instagram after the 4-1 win over Sevilla.
Haaland and Can have praised Liverpool target Bellingham
Bellingham continues to defy all at just the age of 19. When you think he has surpassed expectation quite considerably, already, he just does it again. He continues to raise the bar at this incredibly early stage in his career, for Dortmund.
Without doubt, Bellingham will be a starting player for England at this winder’s World Cup. The maturity, passion, drive and mentality he has for a teenager is quite remarkable. Little surprise Liverpool, among others, want to sign him.
Manchester City might be in the mix too, and it would see him reunite with Haaland. The Norwegian superstar himself scored a brace on Wednesday night, taking his tally for City to 19 goals in just 12 games. He praised Bellingham.
As did current Dortmund teammate and ex-Liverpool midfielder Can – commenting “what a player” on Bellingham’s post. Without doubt, Bellingham is going right to the top as he continues to get better and better.
