Two England fans have been discussing their experience in America so far after flying over for the 2026 World Cup.
The Three Lions have already played in Texas and Boston, and are due to compete at the New York New Jersey Stadium against Panama on Saturday, giving their fans plenty of opportunities to experience the American culture.
In the interview with Fox, England fan Patrick has expressed his love for the convenience store chain Wawa and the hoagie he purchased from there.

England fan thinks Wawa hoagie was unbelievable
Patrick said: “Wawa was unbelievable. It was a hoagie, which was like a meatball marinara sub, but it was absolutely excellent!”
But it’s not just the food that the visiting fans are liking about their stay in America so far.
Angus, the second fan being interviewed, was then asked: “Has there been something that you can point to, that you can say wow, I never expected this or that [about America]?”
He responded by highlighting how nice everyone has been to them since they flew over.
Angus said: “Well, I’ve been surprised by the friendliness of the Americans, actually. I didn’t expect them to be unfriendly, but they’ve sort of gone above and beyond, looking after us and making sure everything is OK, and just being interested in what we’re doing.”
Patrick added: “Exactly the same, just the people from the hospitality, to people we’ve met, to locals, to even somebody came up to us on the street and was like, ‘I recognise you from TikTok’, and we were just absolutely blown away.”
Patrick and Angus are not the only English fans who have praised the food on offer in the USA this summer, either.
In another interview with Fox earlier this month, another supporter claimed he ‘had the best beef I’ve ever had in my life’ in the US when trying Texas BBQ.
