Arsenal and Chelsea will be looking to conclude some big deals in the summer transfer market.
It has been well-documented how much Chelsea have spent since the new takeover and it doesn’t seem like they are going to stop.
Todd Boehly might take a lot of stick for how things are panning out at Stamford Bridge, but Chelsea are still using the transfer market to try and change their fortunes around.
Arsenal have spent big under Mikel Arteta, including a club-record transfer for Declan Rice last summer, and now talk of needing a striker has started once again.
Of course, depending on FFP and other financial restrictions, the Gunners will want to spend as much as they can again.
One name that has been doing the rounds is RB Leipzig’s much-wanted forward, Benjamin Sesko.
Sources have told HITC that Sesko is set to sign a new contract at the German club, despite being wanted by Arsenal and Chelsea.
But Izidor Kordic has urged the Premier League duo to buy the player right now because ‘Real Madrid will come knocking’ next season, as he told talkSPORT.
The Slovenian commentator added by saying that Slovenia has ‘never had such a big star’ and he is proving to be the ‘complete forward’.
The 21-year-old netted 14 Bundesliga goals and you feel, if he can double that next season, then not only will interest in him skyrocket, but also his transfer fee.
Benjamin Sesko is a huge star in Slovenia
“He is a big star here, we never had such a big star as Benjamin Sesko,” said Kordic. “I think maybe he isn’t at the level yet to score 25-30 goals in the Premier League, like Erling Haaland does. I think he could get there. I think it’s smart for Chelsea or Arsenal, whoever is going to get him, to get him now.
“If he scores 25 goals next season in the Bundesliga, then I think Real Madrid will come knocking. Arsenal and Chelsea, then won’t be able to get him.
“He isn’t, yet, at the level of Harry Kane or Erling Haaland, and all the best strikers in the world. But he can get there. He is a complete forward. He can jump, pass, score and he can go deep. Run in behind and head the ball. We are really happy to have him in my team.”

Benjamin Sesko to stay at RB Leipzig
As mentioned above, it looks like Sesko is staying put and that will be a body blow to the interested parties.
From the player’s perspective, he has probably made a wise call because he has only been in Germany for a year.

Plus, with Euro 2024 coming up, he can elevate his status even further, hit 20+ goals next season and then even more teams will be fighting for him.
But for the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea, it’s about looking elsewhere, with a certain Ivan Toney always lurking in the background as he is expected to leave Brentford this term.
