Sources have confirmed to HITC that Joshua Kimmich is waiting to see who Bayern Munich’s new boss is before deciding his future.

HITC has previously confirmed Manchester City’s interest in the Munich stalwart, who has been frustrated during this campaign with lufe under Thomas Tuchel and he had told the club he would not be signing a new contract – with his current deal expiring in 2025.

However, with Tuchel’s departure already confirmed – Munich have persuaded Kimmich to ‘wait and see’ who comes in and they feel they could yet convince him to sign a new deal.

Interest remains high in Kimmich and he is understood to be seriously looking at a move to England.

Man City keen

City are very much remain interested in Kimmich, and HITC can also confirm that Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are being kept informed of Kimmich’s situation.

Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also admirers of the 29-year-old German.

The interest in Kimmich, though, is set to be determined by who Bayern opt for to replace Tuchel.

Like Liverpool, they have already missed out on their number one target Xabi Alonso – who has decided to stay with Bayer Leverkusen beyond this summer.

Bayern targets

Bayern are now looking at a number of options that include Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi and also former boss Julian Nagelsmann.

HITC revealed last month that Nagelsmann, current Germany coach, was considering a return to club management in the near future.
