Intermediaries are making clubs in England aware that Germany boss Julian Nagelsmann could be available this summer.

HITC Football understands that Julian Nagelsmann is open to moving to the Premier League this summer.

Nagelsmann is currently in charge of Germany and will oversee their attempt to win the European Championships.

However, sources believe the 36-year-old is keen to move back into club management next season.

Nagelsmann has been discussed as an option for Barcelona and intermediaries are also making it known to Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle United that he could be available to them.

It is also believed that should Chelsea make a change this summer, they too would hold an interest, despite their failed approach to appoint him last year.

Jurgen Klopp on Julian Nagelsmann

Nagelsmann was the next big thing at Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig, so it was no surprise when he became Bayern Munich boss in 2021.

Nagelsmann only lost 10 games in 84 at Bayern but was sacked in March of last year and replaced by Thomas Tuchel.

Still only 36, Nagelsmann has a huge future in management and will be looking to guide Germany to home glory at Euro 2024.

A move to Liverpool would be fascinating given that he has been praised by Jurgen Klopp in the past.

Klopp is leaving Liverpool this summer and may at least offer his thoughts on who should take his place in the Anfield dugout.

Klopp suggested earlier this season that Nagelsmann is a ‘fantastic’ manager as he prepared to take charge of Germany.

Even going back to 2017, Klopp called Nagelsmann a ‘big, big coaching talent’ and has clearly been a fan of his for a long time.

Nagelsmann now appears to be interested in the Liverpool job as the Reds weigh up potential alternatives to the in-demand Xabi Alonso.

Barcelona, Manchester United and Newcastle United in the mix too

Liverpool aren’t alone here and Barcelona are already discussing a move for the German.

Barca boss Xavi will be leaving this summer and has reiterated his decision to move on despite beating Napoli in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Ironically, Hansi Flick – the man Nagelsmann replaced with both Bayern and Germany – is also being linked with the Camp Nou hot seat.

Nagelsmann is eyeing the Premier League as well and both Erik ten Hag and Eddie Howe may be looking over their shoulders.

Ineos will be looking very closely at Ten Hag’s end to the season and a young, talented manager like Nagelsmann being available may appeal.

Ineos will want performances and results to be heading in the right direction at Old Trafford and there may be a temptation to land their ‘own man’ in the dugout.

Newcastle have regressed this season and whilst injuries are a major factor, Howe has come under pressure in recent weeks.

Matching last season was always going to be tricky but six defeats in the last 11 Premier League games marks a real downturn for the Magpies.

Nagelsmann’s availability this summer is bound to attract Premier League admiration and even clubs with managers in place right now may be minded to assess his credentials.
