Arsenal are going places under manager Mikel Arteta and are back to being a force to be reckoned with.

The Gunners pushed Manchester City hard for the Premier League last season. Arsenal could beat the Citizens and Liverpool to the league title this time around and have also progressed to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League where they will face Bayern Munich.

Arsenal have top-quality players all over the pitch. William Saliba and Gabriel have been two of the best centre-backs in the Premier League, while Martin Odegaard is a magician in attacking midfield.

Declan Rice is an imposing figure in the middle of the park, while Bukayo Saka is remarkably consistent and has developed into an important source of goals.

Another Arsenal player who is doing well at the moment is Kai Havertz. The 24-year-old came under criticism in the opening months of the season for struggling to make an impact, but the forward is now an important player in Mikel Arteta’s team. He joined Arsenal from Chelsea in the summer of 2023.

Arteta has been using Havertz as a false nine. And, despite not being a natural striker, the Germany international has flourished in that role.

The 24-year-old forward has scored eight goals and given three assists in 20 starts and seven substitute appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal this season.

Julian Nagelsmann gives verdict on Arsenal and Germany forward Kai Havertz

As you can see, Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann has raved about Havertz and is pleased with his development under Arteta at Arsenal.

Germany will take on France on Saturday, and Nagelsmann has said that Havertz will start as a forward.

Havertz has scored nine goals and given three assists in 39 matches in all competitions for Arsenal this season.

The Germany international forward scored nine goals and provided one assist in 47 games in all competitions for Chelsea last season.

My View: Kai Havertz will get better

In my opinion, Kai Havertz has a lot of potential and will get better and develop further in the coming years.

Havertz is still a relatively young player. He is 24 now. His best years are ahead of him.

If the attacker continues to play well and add facets to his game, then he will develop and grow as a footballer and could fulfil his potential.
