One of Arsenal’s best players in recent seasons has been Bukayo Saka, and former Gunners star and Sky Sports pundit Alan Smith is a fan.
Alan Smith thinks that Arsenal and England international winger Bukayo Saka is world class.
Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka described as world class
The former Arsenal player and Sky Sports pundit made the comments during a Q&A session on Reddit.
Smith said on Reddit when asked if Saka is world class: “How do you define world class? He’ll do for me!”
Saka has come through the Arsenal youth system and has established himself as one of the most important teams in the Gunners’ first team.
The 22-year-old England international winger has made 161 appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal so far in his career. He has scored 44 goals and given 34 assists in those games.
Saka has scored 13 goals and given eight assists in 26 Premier League matches and has scored three goals and provided four assists in six UEFA Champions League games for Arsenal this campaign. Even opposition managers have been impressed.
My View: Bukayo Saka is not world class… yet
In my opinion, Arsenal and England international winger Bukayo Saka is not world class yet.
Yes, Saka has been very consistent for Arsenal over the years, and that is remarkable for a player who is only 22.

The winger has also done well for England and is one of the first names on the Three Lions’ teamsheet.
But, Saka has not yet made a huge impact in the UEFA Champions League. Yes, you could argue that Arsenal are not really heavyweights in European football and have not played in the competition much in recent years.
But, I think that until and unless the winger does well against the elite teams in Europe season after season, Saka can be described as world class.
