Arsenal are having a wonderful season and are going from strength to strength under manager Mikel Arteta.
Unlike last season, Arsenal are not showing any signs of slowing down. The Gunners are at the top of the Premier League table and are going to push Liverpool and Manchester City title until the final day of the campaign.
One of the big reasons why Arsenal are doing well at the moment is the presence of Declan Rice in the team. The England international midfielder joined the Gunners from West Ham United in the summer of 2023 and has transformed the North London club.

Rice is an imposing figure in the middle of the park. The 25-year-old is very good at stopping the opposition’s attacks, and he is also contributing going forward.
The England international has scored six goals and given five assists in 28 Premier League matches for Arsenal this season. Rice has also given one assist in the UEFA Champions League this campaign.
Jamie Carragher praises Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice
Former Liverpool defender and Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher has been hugely impressed with Rice.
Carragher told Sky Sports about Rice: “I think Declan Rice has shown he is a throwback to an all-rounder.
“We define the roles of midfielders nowadays as, ‘he’s a holder, he’s an eight, he’s a 10’. He does it all. He can basically do it all in the different roles. Credit to Mikel Arteta as well [for using him there].”
My View: Declan Rice could become world class
In my opinion, Arsenal and England international midfielder Declan Rice could become world class in the coming years.
I do not think that Rice is at that level yet, but if he continues to progress and stays consistent, then he will get into that bracket.
If Arsenal do well in the UEFA Champions League season after season and Rice plays a big role for the Gunners in the European competition, then we will have to label him as world class.
