Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have been competing for the Premier League title for a few years now, and for the past two seasons, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have joined the party.

Arsenal pushed Manchester City hard for the Premier League title last season, but in the end, Pep Guardiola’s side got the job done.

Liverpool are back to being a force to be reckoned with, and some pundits have suggested that Arsenal will not last the distance this season either.

Roy Keane comments on Arsenal

Manchester United legend Roy Keane, though, does not think that it will happen. The Sky Sports pundit has said that Arsenal will not fade away and are physically a better team than last season.

Keane told Sky Sports: “I can’t call it. Last year, I never had any doubt that Man City would win the title. I was strong on City a few weeks ago but I’m doubting that a little bit. Whenever you watch Liverpool, they’re performing, creating chances and scoring goals.

“I look at Arsenal and think physically they’re a much stronger team compared to last year. I don’t think they’ll fade on that side of it.

“Their recruitment and the players they’ve brought in has added strength and quality to them. I look at Arsenal’s mindset and they look ready for the challenge. I don’t know who to go with this year.”

My View: Arsenal are a major threat to Liverpool and Manchester City

Just because Manchester City and Liverpool have won the Premier League title in recent years does not mean that Arsenal do not have a chance this season.

True, Arsenal do not have the relevant experience of taking it up a gear at the business end of the season, but they are a better, stronger, more mature and more experienced team because of what happened in the final weeks of the last campaign.

I do not expect Arsenal to win the league title this season. I am backing City to clinch it again, but I think that the Gunners will take the race down to the wite.

In my view, Liverpool and City have to deal with Arsenal until the final weekend of the season.
