Sir Kenny Dalglish has given his verdict on Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, a player Celtic want to sign in the summer transfer window.
Dalglish was hugely impressed by how Kelleher played for Liverpool against Chelsea in the final of the Carabao Cup.
So, what has Sir Kenny Dalglish said about Liverpool goalkeeper and Celtic target Caoimhin Kelleher?
Sir Kenny Dalglish praises Celtic target Caoimhin Kelleher
Well, Sir Kenny Dalglish has been speaking about Caoimhin Kelleher, and the Liverpool and Celtic legend has been hugely impressed with the Republic of Ireland international goalkeeper.
Dalglish has noted that Kelleher was very good for Liverpool in the final of the Carabao Cup against Premier League rivals Liverpool.
The 25-year-old Republic of Ireland international goalkeeper is playing regularly for Liverpool at the moment due to an injury to Alisson.

Earlier this week, HITC reported that Celtic are keen on signing Kelleher. The defending Scottish Premiership champions want to bring in the 25-year-old to succeed Joe Hart, who has decided to retire at the end of the season.
Dalglish said about Kelleher on the No Tippy Tappy Football Podcast, as transcribed by TBR: “You have a young goalkeeper coming through who played fantastically well on Sunday, in the cup final. Two fantastic saves one on one, he’s not bad either.
“He was a midfield player until he was 15. It might be frustrating for him at the moment because Alisson if he’s fit will be first choice, but Kelleher is fantastic and he has a good record with penalties.”
My View: Caoimhin Kelleher would flourish at Celtic
In my opinion, Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher would flourish at Celtic. I think that the 25-year-old Republic of Ireland international would be a success at the Hoops.
Celtic are one of the biggest clubs in the world and have a massive fanbase. The Hoops regularly win major trophies in Scotland, including the Scottish Premiership, and also feature in premier European competitions such as the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League.
I believe that Kelleher has to consider a potential move to Celtic – he simply has to.
When Alisson is fit and available, Kelleher is a back-up goalkeeper at Liverpool. He is 25 now, and he surely knows that he is better than that.
