- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
Tottenham Hotspur have been one of the more active Premier League teams in the January transfer window and there might still be some movement in North London on deadline day.
HITC Football sources can confirm that Sevilla have made a bid to sign young Tottenham forward Alejo Veliz on loan until the end of the season.
Tottenham are now considering the deal and whether they can afford to let the ‘incredible’ Argentine leave for the rest of the season.
Sevilla are confident that a deal can be done before the window closes but are waiting for manager Ange Postecoglou to make the final decision.
Any loan move would be a straight loan with no obligation or option to buy and HITC Football understands that the 20-year-old is keen to make the move to gain more playing time.

Tottenham considering loan bid for Veliz
Spurs have had a very successful season despite suffering from a flurry of injuries throughout the campaign.
Their win over Brentford on Wednesday night saw them return to the top four of the Premier League at the expense of Aston Villa.
Tottenham have one of the smaller squads in the league and Postecoglou has had to call on several youngsters off the bench at times due to his limited options.
Alejo Veliz is one of those players after signing for £13m in the summer from Rosario Central.
The 20-year-old has only made eight senior appearances this season and scored his first goal for the club against Brighton, but has impressed in training.
However, Veliz has only played 42 minutes of first-team football for Tottenham and a loan move might make the most sense.
It’s understandable why Postecoglou might be hesitant about giving the move the green light given how many injuries he’s had to deal with.
Even the young Argentine hasn’t been able to stay fit all season, struggling with a knock in the summer before picking up a knee injury against Bournemouth.
Tottenham’s January business could allow Veliz to leave
A loan move might make sense for Veliz after Tottenham dipped into the transfer market earlier this month and signed forward Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.
The German was brilliant against Brentford on Wednesday evening and after a mixed spell at Chelsea might finally be able to find his feet in the Premier League at Spurs.
Son Heung-min will return from the Asian Cup shortly, while James Maddison’s recovery from injury means Dejan Kulusevski can be played in his natural position on the wing once again.
Richarlison is in the best form of his Tottenham career and all of this means that Spurs shouldn’t have a huge need for Veliz for the rest of the season.
It would be a no-brainer to send Veliz out on loan if Tottenham could bring in Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth.
HITC Football understands Spurs are interested in the 26-year-old, but talks haven’t been opened with the transfer deadline approaching.
